学系简介

通识教育系(前身是基础部)主要承担学院的全人发展课程教学、学生英语提升及智能信息素养提升,下辖公共外语、人文、思政、信息技术与数学、体育五个教学团队和一个“非物质文化遗产”教学基地。现有教职工61人,其中专任教师46人,外教9人,副教授以上职称11人,中级职称32人,博士2人。

通识教育系秉承“明德、慎思、崇实、创新”的校训,根据学院“以养成教育为抓手,以爱为魂、以德为先、以能为本、以做为要”的教育理念,摸索出一条以“以课程为主体,以学生综合素质培养为目标,以课程教学改革为抓手,课内外结合,为专业服务,促进学生全人发展”的工作思路。

公共外语教学团队主要承担英语教学和英语提升工作。通过英语整体提升计划实施、“英语自主学习中心”建设、英语角、英语口语大赛等课外活动的举行,营造出?“学英语”的良好氛围,努力实现“45%以上的毕业生能用较流利的英语沟通,75%以上的毕业生能用英语进行日常沟通”的目标;信息技术与数学教学团队承担信息技术相关课程教学,对课程进行了线上线下混合式教学模式改革,《计算机应用基础》被评为院级精品课程,《办公软件高级应用》已通过省级精品在线开放课程验收;思政教学团队建立了课堂新闻发布会、进行了“传承与守望,筑梦在万向”大型系列实践活动改革;人文教学团队进行了“微系列”教学改革;体育教学团队根据学生兴趣爱好实行了体育分项、体育俱乐部制课内外一体化教学改革。

通过全系教师共同努力,教学科研均取得良好成绩。几年来,获“市级优秀教师”?2人,“市级优秀教育工作者”2人,“市教学优秀奖”3人,市级教学优秀成果奖2项,全国微课比赛一等奖1名,浙江省微课比赛一等奖3名,“院十佳教师”1人,“院教学能手奖”4人,省级精品在线开放课程3门,市级精品课程4门。指导学生分别在全国高职高专实用英语口语大赛、全国高职高专英语写作大赛获一等奖,在浙江省高职高专实用英语口语大赛、全国口译大赛、浙江省大学生汉语口语(中华经典诵读)大赛等均获得多项一等奖和二等奖。

此外,通识教育系还将地域非物质文化遗产的传承作为学生人文素质培养和学院服务地区文化建设的重要载体,开展了一系列“非遗进校园、非遗进课程、非遗进工作室”的工作,先后获得“浙江省非物质文化遗产传承教学基地”、“国家级非遗项目高校创意工作室”(支持单位:文化部非遗司)、“杭州市非物质文化遗产高校研究基地”、“西湖区非遗大学堂”等称号。

知识可以专精,生命必须宽广。通识教育系将继续秉承学院通识教育理念,团队奋进,锐意进取,促进学生全人发展,提升学院育人成效。

The?Department?of?General?Education?(formerly?the?Foundation?Department)?mainly?undertakes?the?teaching?of?the?college?whole-person?development?courses,?the?improvement?of?students’?English?and?the?improvement?of?intelligent?information?literacy.?It?has?a?teaching?base?for?“intangible?cultural?heritage”?and?five?teaching?teams?which?are?teams?of?public?foreign?languages,?humanities,?ideological?and?political?affairs,?information?technology?and?mathematics,?and?sports.?There?are?61?faculty?members,?including?46?full-time?teachers,?9?foreign?teachers,?11?associate?professors,?32?lecturers?and?2?doctors.

The?Department?of?General?Education?adheres?to?the?School’s?motto?of?“Virtue,?Reflection,?Truth,?Innovation”.?According?to?the?college?philosophy?of?education?“focusing?on?good?habits?developing,?holding?love?as?the?soul,?virtue?the?first,?ability?the?core,?practice?the?essential”,?it?has?explored?an?idea?of?“taking?the?curriculum?as?the?main?body,?students’?comprehensive?quality?as?the?goal,?curriculum?teaching?reform?as?the?starting?point,?integrate?classroom?teaching?and?learning?outside?the?classroom?to?serve?other?departments?better?and?promoting?students’?whole?person?development”.

The?team?of?public?foreign?language?mainly?undertakes?English?teaching?and?students’?English?improvement.?Through?the?implementation?of?the?overall?English?improvement?plan,?the?operation?of?the?“English?Self-study?Center”,?English?Corner,?English?Speaking?Contest?and?other?extracurricular?activities,?we?are?striving?to?create?a?good?atmosphere?of?“learning?English”?and?achieve?the?goal:?“no?less?than?45%?of?graduates?can?communicate?with?relatively?fluent?English,?no?less?than?75%?of?graduates?can?use?English?for?daily?communication”.?The?teaching?team?of?Information?technology?and?Mathematics?undertakes?information?technology-related?courses?online?and?offline.?Computer?Application?Foundation?was?rated?as?a?college-level?quality?course.?Advanced?Application?of?Office?Software?has?passed?the?examination?of?provincial--level?MOOCs.?The?team?of?ideological?and?political?theory?has?adopted?the?form?of?news?conference?in?class?and?carried?out?a?large?series?of?social?practice?themed?“The?Preservation?of?Inheritance,?pursuing?a?dream?in?Wanxiang”.?The?team?of?humanities?has?carried?out?the?reform?in?teaching?featured?with?series?of?micro-lectures.?The?team?of?physical?education?has?implemented?the?practice?of?choosing?a?sport?based?on?students’?interest?and?set?up?sports?clubs?to?complement?class?and?extracurricular?activities.

Through?the?joint?efforts?of?all?teachers,?the?Department?of?General?Education?has?witnessed?good?results?in?teaching?and?research.?In?the?past?few?years,?2?teachers?have?won?the?title?of?“Municipal?Excellent?Teacher”,?2?teachers?have?won?the?title?of?“Municipal?Excellent?Education?Worker”,?and?3?teachers?have?won?the?title?of?“Municipal?Excellent?Teaching?Award”.?2?municipal?awards?have?been?gained?for?outstanding?teaching?achievements,?and?one?teacher?has?won?the?1st?prize?for?National?Micro-class?Teaching?Competition.?Three?teachers?have?won?the?first?prize?in?Zhejiang?Micro-class?Teaching?Competitions;?one?teacher?has?won?the?title?of?“Top?College?10?Teachers”,?4?teachers?have?been?rated?as?college?teaching?experts.?What’s?more,?3?provincial-level?MOOC?courses?and?4?municipal-level?excellent?courses?have?been?successfully?set?up.?In?terms?of?tutoring?students,?some?students?are?instructed?devotedly?and?have?won?the?first?prize?in?the?National?Practical?English?Speaking?Contest?and?the?National?English?Writing?Contest?For?Technical?and?Vocational?College?Students,?and?we?have?won?a?number?of?first?and?second?prizes?in?Zhejiang?Practical?English?Speaking?Contest,?National?Interpretation?Contest?for?Technical?and?Vocational?College?Students?and?Zhejiang?College?Oral?Chinese?Recitation?Contest.

In?addition,?the?Department?of?General?Education?also?takes?the?inheritance?of?regional?intangible?cultural?heritage?as?an?important?carrier?for?the?cultivation?of?students’?humanistic?qualities?and?the?cultural?construction?of?the?areas?which?our?college?helps.?It?has?carried?out?a?series?of?activities?centered?on?“non-legacy?in?campuses,?non-legacy?in?courses,?non-legacy?in?studios”,?which?has?successively?won?the?title?of?“Zhejiang?Intangible?Cultural?Heritage?Inheritance?Teaching?Base”?and?“National?Non-legacy?Project?University?Creative?Studio”?(supported?by?Non-legacy?Department?of?the?Ministry?of?Culture),?“University?Research?Base?of?Hangzhou?Intangible?Cultural?Heritage”,?“West?Lake?District?Non-legacy?Lecture?Hall”?and?other?titles.

Knowledge?can?be?specialized?yet?life?must?be?broadened.?The?Department?of?General?Education?will?continue?to?uphold?the?college?philosophy?of?general?education.?The?teams?will?forge?ahead?and?advance?quickly,?promote?whole-person?development?of?all?students?and?improve?the?effectiveness?of?college?education.
